  • medium: serigraph hand-printed on 263 gram Mohawk Superfine paper by Jeff Davis at Gold Canyon, Arizona, consisting of five passes (first: flat black as a ground; second: three-color gradation blend of darkened cobalt blue to heightened lighter cobalt to red-brown; third: gradation blend from light ultramarine to darkened ultramarine; fourth: one flat off-register mars red; finally, saxes highlighted with a three-color blend made up of orange, white, and ochre). The original image was derived from a photo-montage Secunda created from pictures taken by him; the image was digitized and intentionally distorted, transferred with an arc light to sensitized silkscreen, and printed as described above.
