  • medium: serigraph hand-printed on 263 gram Mohawk Superfine paper by Jeff Davis at Gold Canyon, Arizona, consisting of four passes (first: flat black as a ground; second: three-color blended gradation of taupe to gray to black; third: off-register three-color blended gradation of pale beige to purple to light violet-purple; finally, saxes are highlighted in flat metallic silver). The original image was derived from a photo-montage Secunda created from pictures taken by him; the image was then digitized and intentionally distorted, transferred with an arc light to sensitized silkscreen, and printed as described above.
